The winners of the very first annual Miami Pro UK Championships have been crowned, and the show was named the biggest fitness event ever in the UK! With over 140 stunning fitness models and athletes that competed, it’s no wonder! This is a definite sign of the growing popularity of competitive Fitness Modelling in the UK. Athletes were able to choose from 6 different categories, including the very popular Fitness Model, Muscle Model, Ms. Bikini, Figure, Bodybuilding and Fitness. Contestants travelled from over 20 countries, including the Czech Republic, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa, Australia, Spain, Cyprus, Brazil, Russia and all over the UK. All athletes were given fabulous goodie bags sponsored by Optimum Nutrition, free copies of the Miami Pro magazine, and the ladies were lucky enough to also be given free Miami Pro tops. The event also marked a very special day for Miami Pro, as the Miami Pro fitness magazine was officially launched and was a big hit with the crowd!
The standard of the athletes was very high; you would almost think you were in the USA. The judges sure did have a tough time judging, but they managed to choose the right winners, who all looked outstanding. Winners were pampered with fabulous prizes, including a professional photo-shoot with famous fitness photographer Matt Marsh, fitness modelling contracts with Fit Body Promotions, 6-Pack Bags from Extreme Nutrition, supplements from REFLEX and each overall winner won an article in the Miami Pro fitness magazine. Not bad for an £55 entry fee! Be sure not to miss the Miami Pro World Championships next year on April 14th 2013 and the UK Championships on October 6th 2013!
