HOW IT STARTED:

My fitness journey began when I left school and joined college. I was always a tall, skinny kid, and when I joined college I’d had aspirations of becoming a fitness model and pursuing a lifestyle in health and fitness. It has always been something I’ve been very passionate about, and from an early age I’ve had a huge desire to succeed in anything I put my mind to.

Originally I started lifting weights and going to the gym, but my progress didn’t pay off until I reached my 20’s. That’s when I learned more about diet and nutrition. When I started out I never had anyone to guide me or to talk to for advice, so I really went through the process of learning new things on my own. Being 6 feet 4 inches tall, it is hard to build muscle quickly- especially for the body type I have.

But with consistency in the gym, and sticking to a good diet, I started to notice more progress, and this motivated me to keep going and push harder. I had a real desire to make myself the best person I could be, and I still work towards that every day. In May 2015 I attended the Bodypower Expo, which is where I met Simon Barnes. He invited me to his studio a few weeks later to do my first ever photo shoot. I had a great response from the pictures, and Simon really helped my confidence tremendously.

” I was offered the chance to go to America and shoot with some of the great photographers like Luis Rafael and Ulrich Oehman”.  

I was then offered the chance to go to America and shoot with some of the great photographers like Luis Rafael and Ulrich Oehman, and I had a great experience out there. I’d always thought about competing but was never confident enough to step on stage and go for it. Simon really helped me gain the confidence to pursue this goal, and he thought Miami Pro would be the perfect stage to make my debut. Once I’d signed up for the competition I was more determined than ever to really give it my all and go for the win.

I’m so glad I competed at Miami Pro, and I’m still buzzing from the win. It’s a great show and I would highly recommend that you compete at the next event. I’m now the MP Pro Muscle Model World Champion 2016! And this is just the starting for me.
